City Kicks Off Fire Safety Awareness Week
This week, the city is focusing on fire safety with a series of events and educational programs. The initiative aims to raise awareness about fire prevention and safety measures.
Starting Monday, the Fire Department will host free fire safety workshops at the community center. These workshops will cover topics such as fire extinguisher use, escape planning, and home fire safety checks. The workshops will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. "Our goal is to equip residents with the knowledge and tools to prevent fires and respond effectively if one occurs," said Fire Chief Emily Rodriguez.
Additionally, local schools will participate in fire safety education, with students learning about fire hazards and safety practices. The week will conclude with a public demonstration by the Fire Department on Saturday, May 15th, at 10am in City Park, showcasing firefighting equipment and techniques.
We encourage all community members to attend these events and take advantage of the opportunity to learn more about fire safety.
